NBA PLAYOFF: Lakers Dominate Warriors in Game 1: Anthony Davis Makes Playoff History with 30 Points and 23 Rebounds

In Game 1 of the best-of-seven series between the No. 7 seed Los Angeles Lakers and the No. 6 seed Golden State Warriors, the Lakers secured a 117-112 victory. Anthony Davis was the star of the game, contributing 30 points, 23 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 blocks. This remarkable feat made Davis only the third player in NBA Playoff history, after Tim Duncan (twice), to achieve such impressive stats.

LeBron James contributed 22 points and 11 rebounds to the Lakers' triumph. Meanwhile, the Warriors' dynamic duo, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, combined for 52 points, hitting 6 three-pointers each, and becoming the first trio in NBA Playoff history to achieve this feat.

Kevon Looney also secured his fourth postseason game with 20 or more rebounds, which is the most by a player in a single postseason since Dwight Howard in 2009.

Davis also joined a prestigious list of Lakers players who have scored 30+ points and 20+ rebounds in a game, including Elgin Baylor (11 times), Shaquille O'Neal (9 times), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (2 times), and Wilt Chamberlain (2 times).

The Lakers now lead the series 1-0, and Game 2 will take place on Thursday, May 4th, at 9:00 p.m. ET on ESPN
